OLD SAN JUAN
OLD SAN JUAN
The print is a digital synthesis of subtracting compositions taken from a cartographic image of Old San Juan created by well known puertorican architect Irvine Torres.
By overlapping and deconstructing textures, a basic chart emerges from which a simple and diverse compositional pattern is created. The representation on the white lycra is random alluding to a free texture, coherent to the condition of the autonomous islet. The range of bluish colors builds on the nuances and blue textures that predominate in the cobbled streets of Old San Juan.
